Emergency-only relationship
Customers remember the plumber who came at 2 a.m., but not their number, if nobody follows up.

Plumbing work is mostly reactive, so customers drift away between emergencies. A yearly water-heater flush or plumbing check gives you a reason to get back in touch. Drop your export to see who is past due and who has spent the most with you.

A synthetic plumbing list of 360 customers and 904 service visits, run on November 1, 2026 with a 12-month interval. 56% are past due. If 8% of them booked one service visit at the median value of $354, that would be about $5,721. Your list will differ, so try your own below.
| Segment | Customers | Lifetime value | Estimated reactivation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Due in the next 30 days | 10 | $7,280 | Reminder, not counted |
| Overdue up to 3 months | 27 | $20,773 | $765 |
| Overdue 3–6 months | 25 | $26,096 | $708 |
| Overdue 6–12 months | 43 | $36,951 | $1,218 |
| Overdue 1–2 years | 86 | $78,159 | $2,436 |
| Lapsed 2+ years | 21 | $17,911 | $595 |

| All overdue | 202 | $179,890 | 202 × 8% × $354 = $5,721 |
Synthetic data: invented names and service visit values between $180 and $520. It shows how the finder works, not what a typical plumbing business has. Overdue customers hold $179,890 of the list's $320,046 lifetime value.
Finder
It starts on the plumbing settings. Your file is read only in this browser.
Your list never leaves this browser. The file is read and analysed on your device. Nothing from it is uploaded, stored or sent to analytics. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, then drop a file. No request carries your data.
The sample is synthetic: invented names, 555-01xx phone numbers and example.com emails.
Why it happens
Customers remember the plumber who came at 2 a.m., but not their number, if nobody follows up.
Without a maintenance offer there is no natural next appointment to book.
The next time something leaks, many customers search again rather than scroll back through old invoices.
A tank installed or flushed years ago is a likely future replacement job, and that customer is already on your list.
Getting the file
Menus change between versions, so treat these as pointers and check your software's help pages for current steps.
Export a completed-jobs or customer report with name, phone, completion date and total to Excel or CSV.
Export customers or jobs as CSV. Job-level rows let the finder add up each customer's lifetime value.
Export clients, visits or invoices as CSV with dates and totals.
Where the defaults come from
Each default either links to its source or is marked as our estimate. Change any of them in the tool. Your own prices and recall rules beat any default.
| Business | Interval | Value of a visit |
|---|---|---|
| Plumbing | 12 months. MoxiSync estimate based on common manufacturer guidance. Set your own interval. | $250, used only when your file has no amounts. MoxiSync estimate. Change it to your own price. |
| Response rate | 8% of overdue people booking again. This is a deliberately low MoxiSync estimate, not a published benchmark. Vendor case studies report a wide range, and your result depends on consent, list age and follow-up speed. | |
Common questions
There isn't a single standard. We start at 12 months because many tank manufacturers suggest a yearly flush. If you sell drain-maintenance plans, use that plan's interval.
Yes. Rows with the same customer ID, email or phone are merged. The latest date becomes the last visit and the amounts are added together.
Something useful and time-bound, such as a water-heater flush or a whole-home check. Never pressure people, and stop if they ask you to.
Done for you
