Review kit

Your review link
and print-ready card.

Everything is built in your browser from the link you paste.

No sign-in, no API, nothing stored. We build your link from what you paste, here in your browser. We don't look up your business or save what you type.

1. Find your business

Step 1 of 3
The best source is Google Business Profile → Ask for reviews, which gives a g.page/r/… link. You can also open your listing in Google Maps and paste the full address from the address bar, or look up your Place ID in Google's free Place ID Finder.

2. Print a QR card

4 × 6 in · 300 dpi
Design

Print at actual size (100%) on card stock, or send the PDF to a print shop. Scan the printed card with your own phone before you put it out. The card doesn't use Google's logo, which needs Google's permission.

3. Ask every customer

Templates within Google's rules
  • Ask every customer, not just the ones you expect to be happy. Screening customers first (review gating) is against Google's rules.
  • Offer nothing in return: no discounts, gifts, entries or credits for a review.
  • Ask for an honest review, never a five-star one, and never write or edit a review for a customer.
  • Don't collect reviews on a tablet or device in your shop. Customers should post from their own account.
  • Text only customers who have agreed to receive texts from you, and include a way to opt out.

Read Google's policy on prohibited and restricted content for the full rules on fake engagement and incentives.

Finding your link

Where to copy
it from.

01

Business Profile: Ask for reviews

Signed in to your Business Profile on Google Search or Maps, choose "Ask for reviews" and copy the link. It starts g.page/r/ and is the most reliable option.

02

Google Maps link

Find your business in Google Maps, open the listing and copy the full address from the browser's address bar. Short maps.app.goo.gl links hide the place details, so open them first.

03

Place ID

Google's free Place ID Finder shows the ID for any business on the map. It usually starts ChIJ.

04

Test before you print

Open the link on your phone while signed out. It should open the review form, or your listing with a "Write a review" button.

Common questions

About review
links.

What is a Google review link?

A web address that opens the review form for your business on Google. Customers tap it, choose a rating and write their review without having to search for you.

Do you use the Google Places API?

No. The link is built from what you paste, entirely in your browser. We don't look up, store or send your business details.

Can I offer a discount for reviews?

No. Google doesn't allow offering anything in exchange for a review, and it can remove reviews or restrict a profile that does. The templates here ask for an honest review with nothing in return.

What is review gating?

Asking customers whether they were happy first, then sending only happy ones to Google. It breaks Google's rules. Ask every customer the same way, and handle complaints separately.

Why isn't the Google logo on the card?

Google's brand rules limit how its logo can be used. The card says 'Google' in text, which is enough for customers to know where the review goes.
