Operational friction / Owner-led teams
What is still waiting.
See where it stalls.
Leads, customers, quotes, orders and follow-ups are spread across tools the owner cannot read quickly.
If the owner cannot see what is waiting, the team cannot reliably fix it.
A single view is useful only when the work behind it produces timely, trustworthy records.
02 / How we look at it
See it clearly.
Change it carefully.
The sequence is intentionally small: understand the path that exists today, steady the step that keeps breaking, then check how it behaves before adding anything else.
Inventory
List every place a customer, quote request, estimate, order, or follow-up currently sits, and identify which of those the team actually trusts.
Define
Agree on the few stages, owners, and exceptions the owner needs to see, without adding another list for someone to keep up to date.
Test
Use the view in real operating meetings and note which decisions it supports, which records arrive late, and which fields nobody maintains.
